FBC Youth
Children of all ages are welcomed and embraced at The First Baptist Church of Haddonfield. We provide many opportunities for education, fellowship and growth in a life-long relationship with Christ.
Dedication Ceremony
Parents are welcome to have their infant or child dedicated during the church service. This is our way of affirming your child’s fellowship with God and the church; and the congregation’s way of pledging support for your child’s Christian growth.
Nursery (Newborn – Age 5)
Childcare is provided in the nursery each Sunday and during many of our church events. It is a happy and loving nursery with a Noah’s Ark theme. Each Sunday, a volunteer teacher shares an age-appropriate Bible story that engages the children through singing, action-motions and crafts.
Baptism
Baptism is a special event in the life of a young Christian. We have a four-week baptism course to prepare our children for this occasion. Those children desiring baptism will be baptized by immersion during Sunday worship. There is no set age for baptism, but children are encouraged to do so in their early teen years.
Growing up in today’s world is tough. Youth and children must be able to face this reality and live with purpose, hope, faith and joy. We believe passionately that these qualities of life are uniquely found in a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Summer Enrichment (4yrs-7th Grade)
Each summer, during the first full week of August, we host Summer Enrichment for the children of the church and community. During this exciting week, the children experience the teachings of the Bible through lessons, games, crafts, music and theme-related snacks. We close the program on Friday at noon with a drama/musical production and a video review of the week’s fun activities. Then we head outdoors for the children’s very favorite event: A carnival and giant water slide!
2012 Summer Enrichment Camp
“Adventures on Promise Island”
Promise Island is full of fun, music, games, projects, snacks, and other kid-friendly activities. But Promise Island is not just about fun and games – it’s about changing lives and helping kids discover God’s lifesaving love! Each day kids will experience the powerful promises of God and be challenged to live lives confident that God will keep His promises to be with them, care about them, give them what they need, save them and answer them.
For more information and to request registration forms, call the church office at 856-429-2326. A $20.00 donation for each camper is requested to help cover costs. Scholarships available. Older teens are invited to volunteer as junior counselors and should contact Rev. Erin Phillips, Assistant Pastor, at the church office number.

Baptist Youth Fellowship (BYF)
Kindergarten – 5th Grade
Children this age are invited to join the ”Kids for Christ” fellowship group which meets monthly on Sunday afternoons during the school year to study the Bible, do service projects that benefit the church and community, and have a great fellowship time.
9th – 12th Grade
Teens meet weekly, on Wednesday evenings during the school year for Bible study and fellowship time. Children are then invited to their Sunday school classrooms. We have a dedicated group of volunteer teachers who teach the Bible in child friendly ways.
