Our Church Covenant

As we trust we have been brought by divine grace to embrace the Lord Jesus Christ and by the influence of the Holy Spirit give ourselves to Christ we do now with the help of God, our father, solemnly covenant with each other that:

We will watch over one another in Christian love, remember-each other in prayer, aid each other in sickness and distress, cultivate Christian sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech, avoid gossip, be slow to take offense, but always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior, to secure it without delay;

We will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, nor prove untrue to the scriptural injunction to “pray without ceasing” both for ourselves and others;

We will participate in each other’s joys,  and endeavor with tenderness and sympathy, to bear each other’s burdens and sorrows;

We will earnestly seek to bring up those who may be under our care, in the nurture and admonition of the Lord We will strive always to walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we are called;

We will by united effort seek to maintain an evangelical ministryamoCT8 us by contributing regularly to the expenses of the Church, and its benevolences;

We will by personal and associated example and endeavor, strive to win souls to Christ and proclaim the Gospel throughout the world;

We will in our personal lives, as a church, and in cooperation with others, pray and work for justice, peace, and reconciliation among all people for the sake of God’s kingdom, and seek to serve others in need, locally and globally;

We will as soon as possible when we remove from this place, unite with another church, where we can carry out the spirit of this Covenant and the principles of God’s Word;

We will seek always to live unto the glory of Him who called us out of darkness into this marvelous light.
