Pre-Service Music: Will Powell

Prelude

“Pastorale”

By C. Wesley

Organist: Bob Gardner

Welcome: Rev. Erin Phillips

Introit

“God Of Our Life, Through All The Circling Years”

Chancel Choir

God of our life, through all the circling years, we trust in Thee;
in all the past, through all our hopes and fears, Thy hand we see.
With each new day, when morning lifts the veil,
we own Thy mercies, Lord, which never fail.

God of the past, our times are in Thy hand; with us abide.
Lead us by faith, to hope's true Promised Land; be Thou our guide.
With Thee to bless, the darkness shines as light,
and faith's fair vision changes into sight.

*Call to Worship: Chip Chapman

Leader: We see light, hope, and joy;
People: We bring heart, soul, mind, and body;
Leader: We share blessings and fears;
People: We bring faith and doubt.
Leader: With all that we are and all that we have;

People: Let us worship God.

All: Amen!

*Invocation: Rev. Erin Phillips

*The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

Amen.

Greeting

Announcements: Chip Chapman

Call To Prayer

“Hear Our Prayer, O God"

Organist: Bob Gardner

Pastoral Prayer: Rev. Erin Phillips

Anthem

“I Am Thine, O Lord”

Arranged by Susan Geschke

Carillon Ringers

I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice, and it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith, and be closer drawn to Thee.

Refrain:
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord, by the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, and my will be lost in Thine.

Scripture Reading: 2 Chronicles 7:14-15

Sermon

“What If … We Humble Ourselves and Pray?”

Rev. Erin Phillips

In This Three Week Series Entitled “WHAT IF …”, We Will Explore:

What if when we trust God,

He can do far more with what we give,

in our lives and in the lives of others,

than we could possibly imagine or do on our own?

We’ll be imagining what God would do through us

if we would really trust Him with what He’s blessed us with.

*Closing Hymn

“O Love That Will Not Let Me Go”

Benediction: Rev. Erin Phillips

Postlude

“Open Now The Gates Of Beauty”

Arranged by E. Broughton

Organist: Robert Gardner

Open now thy gates of beauty,
Zion, let me enter there,
where my soul in joyful duty
waits for him who answers prayer.
Oh, how blessed is this place,
filled with solace, light, and grace!
